My writing was first published in 1985 and I produced work until the year 2000. I wrote numerous magazine articles for Women to Weight Watchers, school children to fishing - even journals for illiterate students. During the interval, nursing two husbands took all my time, and I didn't envisage writing again, ever. Then we moved into Mountain View Lodge Retirement Village in Murwillumbah, near Tweed City, where a writer's group gave me new inspiration. But writing avoided me, except for letters and administration correspondence, especially when my second husband passed over in May 2020. A few weeks later I fell and broke my right wrist and this was followed by an unpleasant plastic surgery on a skin cancer that appeared on my right eyelid, so I was unable to write again. However, my lifetime motto is "Never miss a day without making someone smile" - So for a few months, I've been that 'someone' and now writing has become an important part of my therapy.'
